STEWARDSHIP

As an independent, congregationally governed church, we raise all of our own funds to support our mission and ministry.

We have received much-appreciated gifts from the past -- our beautiful buildings as well as invested funds. Each year, we invite financial contributions from members and friends to support our current mission and ministry and to ensure that our ministry will remain a vital and vibrant part of New Bedford's future.

Giving to others is a central Christian discipline. Many churches suggest giving a "tithe" -- a tenth of your income to others. This year, as a congregation, we have voted to give 10% of our total income to others -- through the United Church of Christ and our own local community efforts. We encourage our members and friends to look at their own financial resources and to do the same -- giving 10% to others -- to the church and other charities.
